SBG - A large conglomerate in the Middle East.

  • Managed the operations, maintenance, staffing, and deliverables of a 300-strong team in a diverse environment comprising IBM Power System, 2500 Intel-based Servers & clusters (5000+ virtual servers), SAN storage, Networking connecting 100+ domestic and international locations, 5000+ workstations running SAP R3, in-house developed applications on IBM and Microsoft Visual Studio, and internet-based eCommerce sites.
  • Reduced operating costs by >$1.2 million by restructuring the existing contracts with various vendors.
  • Optimized Microsoft and SAP license agreements, reducing the license volume by 30% and maintaining 100% compliance.

  • Managed remote infrastructure delivery center, employing 1500 administrators, with an additional 1000 administrators located in India and the Philippines. The center supports 15,000 Sun servers, 10,000 Windows servers, and over 2 Pega-byte SAN storage (EMC2 and IBM).
  • Managed multiple international development teams involved in the development of CRM and ERP products.
  • Achieved revenue target of approximately $150 million and P&L of around $50 Million.
  • Realized a 15% increase in customer satisfaction by ensuring effective support is available to customers 24x7.
  • Brought down costs by 30%, including $200,000+ annual savings of Microsoft Licensing & a $1.2million+ reduction in wireless device costs.

  • Developed 400 multi-media libraries as a part of the APS team to build an efficient airline reservation system interface for a Major Cruise operator and a merchandising application for a large multilocation departmental store chain.
